Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 September 2026.
These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Garantio mobile application and the garantio.fr website (together, the "Service"), published by Programini. By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The service
Garantio helps you keep track of your purchases and their warranties: it scans your receipts and invoices, extracts and stores the relevant information, calculates warranty end dates (including the French legal warranty of conformity), sends you reminders before a warranty expires, and helps you generate formal notice letters to sellers.
The Service is provided free of charge and is currently supported by advertising shown within the app. Garantio may in the future offer an optional paid ad-free mode; any such offer will be presented separately and is not required to use the core features described above.
2. Eligibility and account
The Service is intended for consumers who are at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in their country of residence. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us without delay at contact@programini.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
Garantio can be used by several members of the same household through household sharing. Whoever creates a shared household is responsible for inviting only people they trust with the purchase data being shared.
3. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- upload documents or content that are unlawful, fraudulent, or that you do not have the right to share;
- attempt to access another user’s account or data without authorisation;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
- interfere with the normal operation of the Service (overloading it, bypassing security measures, introducing malicious code);
- use the Service for any purpose other than tracking your own purchases and warranties, or those of your household.
We may suspend or terminate access for any account used in breach of this section.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the receipts, invoices, photos and other documents you upload ("your content"). By uploading content, you grant Programini a limited licence to store, process and display it back to you for the sole purpose of operating the Service (in particular, AI-assisted data extraction and claim-letter generation).
You are responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to share it. Garantio keeps your proofs of purchase to help you find them again, but this does not replace keeping your own originals where that is legally or practically required.
5. AI-assisted features and formal notice letters
Garantio uses automated processing, including artificial intelligence, to read receipts, calculate warranty dates, and draft formal notice ("mise en demeure") letters. These results are provided as an aid and may contain errors.
The information about the legal warranty of conformity and the letters generated are provided for information only and do not constitute personalised legal advice. It is your responsibility to check the extracted data and the generated letters, and to adapt them to your situation before sending them to a seller.
6. Intellectual property
The Garantio name, logo, application, website and their content (text, graphics, interface and source code) are the property of Programini or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Except for the licence granted to your own content under section 4, nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property right to you.
Further detail on intellectual property, hosting and the site publisher is available in our legal notice.
7. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
We may add, change or remove features over time, including advertising formats, to improve the Service. We will let you know of any change that materially reduces the core functionality described in section 1.
8. Liability
Programini makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the Service, without being able to guarantee that it is complete or free of error. To the extent permitted by law, Programini is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, or the consequences of a decision you make based on information provided by the Service (including a missed deadline or an unsuccessful claim to a seller).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under French or European consumer-protection law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app’s settings, or by writing to contact@programini.com. Deleting your account removes your data in accordance with our privacy policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, or if required to do so by law. Where reasonably possible, we will give you notice beforehand.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, in particular to reflect changes to the Service or to applicable law. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new "last updated" date, and will notify you in the app of any material change before it takes effect.
Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of the country in which you reside.
Before going to court, we encourage you to contact us at contact@programini.com to try to resolve any dispute amicably. Consumer mediation and jurisdiction details are set out in our legal notice.
12. Contact
